This was a very interesting job. The homeowner’s property included one large fir and a smaller maple tree that were growing at the edge of a steep bank. At the bottom of the bank was someone’s house, on the street behind. They were concerned that in some atmospheric river event, that the bank might become unstable and that the trees would be at risk of falling onto the neighbouring property. It was impossible to get equipment into the back yard, however.
We employed a large crane and as we cut the trees, the sections were attached to the crane, which moved them into the front yard where they could be dealt with.
